OUR LOCATION
Our various apartments, offering a range of amenities, are all situated within the same area. We are a stone’s throw away from the small medieval borgo of Casole d’Elsa, near Siena, in the heart of Tuscany. Casole is just 800 mt away, and a short uphill road (unsurfaced) leads straight to the centre of this delightful small hilltop town. The following borghi (old towns) are situated nearby (car journey times shown in each case): Colle Val d’Elsa (10 min), San Gimignano (15 min), Volterra (25 min), and Monteriggioni (20 min). Slightly further away (30/50 min) are the cities and towns of Siena, Florence, Pienza and Montalcino. If you enjoy the sea, in about 1 hour and 40 minutes you can be in the small town of Castiglioni della Pescaia, near Grosseto. As well as interesting museums, Casole and Colle Val d’Elsa also offer a choice of supermarkets. Their old historic centres are also very charming, and they have wonderful views over the surrounding verdant hills and landscapes. The towns also offer several small, independent shops, along with all essential services such as banks, post offices, chemists, doctors, and a range of restaurants and leisure attractions.
